IF WALLS COULD SPEAK

Project Description

This show was commissioned by the Design at Riverside Gallery for their Masterworks Exhibition in 2011.  The exhibition focused on the research and art of recent Masters of Architecture graduates Jeffrey Cheng and Gillian Tyrrell. The show explored themes of architectural temporality and memory in the ruins of a traditional temple amid a sea of new workers' housing developments in China, and the abandoned state of a Magdalen Asylum building in Cork, Ireland.  The exhibition was designed and curated by the artists.
